Privacy Policy
IndexMachine respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect when you use indexmachine.co, the IndexMachine app and the IndexMachine Chrome extension, why we collect it, and who helps us process it. The short version: we collect what we need to get your pages indexed, and we never sell it.
Effective date: October 31, 2026
1. Who we are
IndexMachine is an indexing tool run by its founder, Vlad, from Europe. For anything about your data, write to vlad@indexmachine.co.
2. What we collect
- Account details: your email address and the basic profile details Google shares when you sign in.
- Search Console data: the sites in your Google Search Console, their sitemaps, Google's indexing status for each page (coverage state, last crawl date) and 30-day clicks and impressions per page. We don't store your search queries or your Google access tokens.
- Pages and indexing activity: the URLs of your pages, their status in IndexMachine, and a log of each indexing request and Google's answer. The request log is deleted after 90 days.
- Chrome extension: the extension keeps your connection key, your IndexMachine email and which of your Google accounts Search Console uses on your computer, and sends us the page URL, Google's answer and the extension version for each request. Its own policy is on the extension privacy page.
- IndexNow key: the key we generate for each of your sites, so IndexNow engines can verify submissions.
- Payments: Stripe handles checkout. We receive your email, the plan you bought and Stripe's customer reference; we never see your card number.
- Visits to indexmachine.co: Umami and Google Analytics count page views and button clicks. On your first visit we also save where you came from (campaign tags, the referring website and the first page you opened) in your browser's local storage, and pass it along when you sign up or check out, so we know which page brought you.
- Support: messages you send us by email or through the chat in the app.
3. Free tools
The free tools work without an account. When you run one:
- Our servers fetch the URL you enter, plus that site's robots.txt and sitemaps where the tool needs them. The Page Speed Test and the SEO Analyzer also send the URL to Google's PageSpeed Insights and Chrome UX Report.
- Why Is My Page Not Indexed and the Googlebot Simulator send what they measured, with the start of the page's visible text, to Anthropic, whose AI writes the explanation. Your email and IP address are not part of it. Their results are cached for up to two days, so checking the same page again returns the saved result.
- The IndexNow Submit tool sends the URLs and the key you enter to api.indexnow.org, which shares them with the participating search engines.
- Your IP address is used to apply each tool's usage limits, and Vercel BotID screens some tools for automated abuse. The tools' logs record outcomes, not the URL you checked or your IP address.
- Email me this report: when you ask for a report by email, we keep your email address, the URL you checked, the report and a keyed hash of your IP address (never the address itself), and use them to send you that report. Indexing tips go out only if you tick the optional box. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
4. How we use it
- To import your sites, find the pages Google hasn't indexed, request indexing and send IndexNow submissions.
- To run the free tools you use, and to email the reports and tips you ask for.
- To show your dashboard, reports and alerts, and to send service emails such as invites, import notices, reports, alerts and payment receipts.
- To answer support requests and keep the service secure and working.
- To understand which pages and campaigns bring visitors and customers, so we can improve the site.
We don't sell your data, and we don't use it for advertising.
5. Who processes it for us
We share data only with the services that run IndexMachine, and only what each one needs:
- Clerk: sign-in and account management.
- Google: the Search Console API (reading your Search Console data), Google Analytics (site visits), and PageSpeed Insights and the Chrome UX Report (the free speed and SEO tools).
- Anthropic: the AI explanations in the free tools (what a tool measured and the start of the page's text, never your email).
- IndexNow (api.indexnow.org): your page URLs and your site's IndexNow key, and what you send with the free IndexNow tool, which the participating search engines receive.
- Stripe: payments and subscriptions.
- Brevo: delivery of service emails, and of the reports and tips you ask for in the free tools.
- Crisp: the support chat in the app.
- Umami: visit analytics for indexmachine.co.
- Telegram: internal service alerts to the founder, which can include an account email.
- Vercel, Koyeb and Neon: hosting for the website, the app's servers and its database. Vercel BotID also screens free-tool requests for automated abuse.
6. How long we keep it
Account, site and page data stay while your account is open, so your dashboard and history keep working. Indexing request logs are deleted after 90 days. When you ask us to delete your account, we delete its data, except records we must keep for tax and payment purposes.
Free tool results are cached for up to two days. An email address given in a free tool is kept with its URL and report until you ask us to delete it; an unsubscribed address stays on file so it gets no more email.
7. Your choices
- Ask for a copy, a correction or deletion of your data at vlad@indexmachine.co.
- Remove IndexMachine's access to your Google account at any time in your Google account's security settings, under third-party connections.
- Uninstall the Chrome extension at any time; its local data goes with it.
- Unsubscribe from free-tool emails with the link in any of them.
- Block analytics with your browser's privacy settings or an extension; the site works without them.
8. Security
Every connection between your browser, the extension, Google and IndexMachine is encrypted, and we keep Google access tokens out of our database entirely.
9. Changes to this policy
When we change this policy, we update the effective date above and make reasonable efforts to tell you about significant changes. The terms of the service itself are on the terms page.
