Submit your website to Bing, then keep every new page flowing
To submit your website to Bing, add it to Bing Webmaster Tools, submit your sitemap, and send every new URL with IndexNow, the free protocol Bing and Yandex launched for exactly this. Yahoo and DuckDuckGo show results largely from Bing, so the same steps cover them too.
IndexMachine sends unlimited IndexNow submissions for every URL in your sitemap, every day, and handles Google in the same dashboard.
How to submit your website to Bing (free)
Sign in to Bing Webmaster Tools
Go to Bing Webmaster Tools and sign in with a Microsoft, Google or Facebook account. It is free.
Add and verify your site
The quick way: import from Google Search Console. Bing pulls in your verified sites and their sitemaps, and they count as verified.
By hand: enter your URL and verify with the
BingSiteAuth.xmlfile in your root folder, a meta tag in your homepage<head>, or a CNAME record at your DNS provider.Submit your sitemap
Open Sitemaps, press Submit sitemap and paste the full URL, such as https://example.com/sitemap.xml. Bing reads XML sitemaps (the best choice), RSS, Atom and plain text lists of URLs. Add
Sitemap: https://example.com/sitemap.xmlto robots.txt so Bingbot finds it on its own. The free sitemap checker validates the file first.Send new URLs with IndexNow (or URL Submission)
For a handful of pages, the URL Submission tool in Bing Webmaster Tools takes URLs one per line. For anything you publish regularly, IndexNow is the faster habit: one request tells Bing a URL is new or changed, with no login. Set it up below.
Bing IndexNow: the fast lane
IndexNow is a ping that says "this URL changed". Instead of waiting for Bingbot to reread your sitemap, you send the URL the moment it is published, updated or deleted. Bing, Yandex, Seznam, Naver and Yep all accept it, and a submission to one is shared with all of them.
Set it up by hand in three steps
- Make a key. Any string of 8 to 128 letters, numbers or dashes. Our free IndexNow tool can generate a key and test your key file, or Bing's IndexNow page generates one.
- Host the key file. Save the key in a text file named
<key>.txtat your domain root, so https://example.com/<key>.txt returns the key. - Send your URLs. POST a JSON list of up to 10,000 URLs with your host and key to api.indexnow.org (or GET a single URL). A 200 or 202 answer means it was accepted.
Accepted is not the same as indexed: Bing still crawls and decides, as it does for any sitemap URL. What IndexNow changes is how soon Bing knows about the page.
Bing on autopilot with IndexMachine
Sending IndexNow by hand works until you forget. IndexMachine turns it into a setting:
- Unlimited IndexNow submissions. Every URL in your sitemap goes to Bing and the other IndexNow engines. No daily or monthly cap.
- Set up once. Download your key file from the dashboard, put it at your domain root (there is a WordPress how-to in the app), and IndexMachine verifies it.
- New pages join by themselves. A post you publish today is picked up from your sitemap and sent without you lifting a finger.
- Clear status per page. The dashboard shows which URLs IndexNow accepted, next to each page's Google status.
- Google in the same place. IndexNow doesn't reach Google, so IndexMachine presses Google's own Request Indexing in your Search Console every day as well.
Yahoo and DuckDuckGo: get there through Bing
You don't submit to Yahoo or DuckDuckGo directly. Both lean on Bing's index, so a site that is on Bing is most of the way there.
- Yahoo: its help center says Yahoo Search results come from the Yahoo web crawler (Slurp) and Bing's web crawler, and that Yahoo can't help with organic listings that are powered by Bing. There is no Yahoo webmaster console to submit to; Yahoo's help points site owners to Bing instead.
- DuckDuckGo: it says it largely sources its traditional links from Bing, alongside its own crawler and other sources. There is no submission form.
So the steps are the same as above: Bing Webmaster Tools for the sitemap, IndexNow for every new URL. Yahoo still reads your robots.txt and meta tags, so a page you block there stays out.

FAQ
How do I submit my website to Bing?
Sign in to Bing Webmaster Tools, add your site (importing it from Google Search Console verifies it in one step), submit your sitemap, and send new URLs with IndexNow or the URL Submission tool. All of it is free.
What is Bing IndexNow?
IndexNow is an open protocol that lets a site tell Bing, and every other engine that supports it, that a URL was added, updated or deleted. You host a small key file on your domain and send the URLs in one request; IndexNow shares each submission with all participating engines.
Is IndexNow free?
Yes. IndexNow is free for site owners: generate a key, host the key file at your domain root and send your URLs. IndexMachine automates it with unlimited IndexNow submissions for every URL in your sitemap.
Does IndexNow work with Google?
No. Google is not one of the IndexNow engines. For Google, the direct request is Request Indexing in Search Console, which IndexMachine presses for you every day in your own account.
How do I submit my website to Yahoo?
Through Bing. Yahoo has no separate submission tool, and its help pages say its results come from its own crawler and Bing's crawler, with organic listings powered by Bing. Submit your site in Bing Webmaster Tools and send new pages with IndexNow.
How do I submit my website to DuckDuckGo?
There is no DuckDuckGo submission form. DuckDuckGo says it largely sources its traditional links from Bing, so getting your pages into Bing is the way into DuckDuckGo.
How many URLs can I send to Bing with IndexNow?
Up to 10,000 URLs per request, according to the IndexNow FAQ. IndexNow doesn't publish a daily limit, and IndexMachine puts no daily or monthly cap on its side: every URL in your sitemap goes out.
